Meet Felica: The Brave Belle Behind Brave Belle Adventures

Welcome everyone to Brave Belle Adventures, a place where wanderlust meets adventure! I’m Felica, the voice behind this blog, and I am thrilled to share my travel experiences and tips with you. I named this blog Brave Belle because, in Italian, Belle means beautiful, and to me, every woman is brave and beautiful.

I currently live in Calgary, AB, Canada, and have lived here for about 10 years now. Before that, I spent my youth between Alberta and British Columbia. I was born in Victoria, BC, and made my way to Alberta throughout the years. I have loved traveling my whole life and always had plans to visit every corner of the earth possible. I hope to one day move somewhere tropical with a beautiful beach and live out my days sunbathing and adventuring.

My love for travel began at a young age when my family moved around a lot, sparking a curiosity to explore new places beyond Canada. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit numerous countries, each leaving a unique imprint on my heart. Moving around at such a young age sparked my need to explore all the amazing places on our planet.

As an adult, I started to travel in my 20s but didn't begin solo traveling until I turned 33. I was single and tired of waiting for people to come with me. I wanted so desperately to see the world and had grown impatient, so I stepped outside my comfort zone, did research, and embarked on my solo travel journey. With the amazing support of my friends, I have visited incredible places and met people who have become lifelong friends.

Through this blog, I hope to inspire and empower you to step out of your comfort zone and embark on your own solo adventures. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or planning your first solo trip, I’ll be sharing practical tips, destination guides, and personal stories to help you make the most of your travels.
